There are several changes for booking the 2024 Masses. The Mass Book will be
opened in October in the Office this year. The date will be announced. Procedures for booking Masses will be the same as last year.
Please submit your requested dates on paper, mark your envelope “Masses” and drop in the collection basket, mail it to the office at 600 Second Ave., Harvey, LA 70058 or drop it off in the mailbox on the gate. We will make every effort to provide you with your chosen dates. Please provide your phone number and/or email address. You will be contacted in the event your selection cannot be accommodated.
You should also include your date requests for Lamps and Altar Wine along with your Mass intentions. Since Lamps and Altar Wine are single intentions they will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please submit your requests as soon as possible.
Donation is due at the time you submit your dates for Masses. However, if you are unsure of the amount, the Parish Office will calculate the amount and call you. Following is a list of prices to aid in your calculation.
The customary donation for a stipended Mass is $5.00, however, if you care to give a more substantial donation, it would be a real blessing for the Church.
The $5.00 stipend is per individual per Mass – exceptions are:
1. Husband and wife are considered one (1) and
2. Combined families, i.e., Smith & Jones Families deceased are also considered one (1).
Offerings for Lamps and Altar Wine are as follows:
Divine Mercy Lamps(2) $10.00 each
Sanctuary Lamp $10.00
Sacred Heart Lamp $10.00
St. Rosalie Lamp $10.00
Blessed Mother’s Lamp $10.00 (fills up very fast)
Altar Wine $10.00
At the present time, Altar Flowers will only be ordered if a parishioner requests and pays for them. The prices stated are the actual amounts we pay; the parish does not make any money on flowers. Flowers can represent a special dedication for a Celebration of Life Event, i.e., a Birthday or Anniversary, etc., or in Memory of a deceased loved one.
Prices are current at the time you order and if available. Currently, florists' prices and changing almost daily; their ability to get particular flowers also depends on what's available at the time you order.
Multiple Mass intentions are available at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. At the present time the 7:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday will be a single intention Mass (only one per deceased individual per year). The 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening Youth and Young Adult Mass is for St. Rosalie and St. John Bosco Parishioners only. No special intentions, as this is the Mass that the Pastor says for his parishioners.
If you have any questions please call the Parish Office at 340-1962.
